• Reduplication involves always full copying; there are only few lexicalized forms of reduced reduplication (karamèlè "caramel" --> mèlè-mèlè "sticky"; kishiki "to itch" --> kishikishi "itching sensation"); cf. Kouwenberg 2003: 164.
Stylistic Information Reduplication is a rather infrequent phenomenon in Papiamentu texts, apart from semi-lexicalized forms (cf. Kouwenberg 2003: 161).
